Good day Our company had three passengers to fly to Albania from Amsterdam airport ( Netherlands) to Tiranna- Albania about two months ago, everything was checked and provided to our travel agency ( Including the passports ) and passengers tried to get to airplane and get their boarding card at Amsterdam air port 3 hours before the departure time, but they were told that they need visa to enter to Albania and if they want to resolve this issue... Hello, I fly about twice a year from Tehran to USA. I have flown with Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, British airways and Emirates and I can tell you almost all with a few minor manners the airplane and services are the same. TL/DR: Turkish Airlines strands passengers by refusing boarding for no given reason. Refuses to apologies, demands more cash for next flight. Customer service is either unhelpful, unintelligible or simply unprofessional. Avoid this airline! Passenger was refused boarding a connecting flight for TK1981 at Istanbul. We had a reservation for 3 passengers on Oct 14th from Amsterdam airport to Tirana -Albania , these passengers hold Netherlands travel documents used to travel to European countries before without any visa, 3 hours before the departure and boarding at the airport, Turkish airlines refused to board them and said that they need visa, and said if they want to be boarded they can pay 1000 Euro ( Each), when they complaint they said we cannot do... 2 shocking experiences : 1) took samples for a show to Slovenia was told at Cape Town airport that I could not take them in hand luggage as there were liquids so had to check them through oversized and fragile - when arriving in Slovenia the goods were 'mushed' and thrown together in a plastic bag on the conveyer - after a long process to register on the webpage and report the event - they lost the report and photos and we had to refile with... Their costumer service literally doesn't exist! Online application for mobile phone is useless. A costumer simply can't do nothing on the application, can't contact them at all. Miles and smiles program is a lie too- they say that you can earn miles by any of Star Alliance member carriers, but when I tried to add my miles from Lufthansa flight (after hours spent on trying to do that), they simply sent a message- No. Without any explanation.... I made a reservation to fly on Turkish airlines. My reservation # was 2357859413800. Before returning on flight # 6 from Chicago to Beirut I contacted the toll free number on 10/04/2016 at 8:05 PM and talked to a customer service representative and she informed me that as of 07/01/2016 Turkish airline started allowing 3 pieces of luggage in economy class and any additional piece after the third costs $160. I misspelled one letter of my first name. I have called anyone i could and different call centres but no one can help. I cannot believe that to change one letter it could be such an major issue. All i hear is that someone will review my case and let me know in 10 days when my flight leaves in 6.
